Biography
I was born in Ulster but was brought up in West London. I studied Modern Languages at Kingston University and later did further Degrees at Birkbeck College, Kings (MA) and also at Westfield College, (Ph.D), all at London University. I taught languages at Secondary level before moving into Further then Higher Education. From 1984 until 2000 I was in charge of Hispanic and Germanic studies at the American International University in Richmond, Surrey. I have also attended several university courses in French, Italian, Hindi and Sanskrit and am a qualified teacher of yoga. I became a FELLOW of the Royal Geographical Society in 1995/6.
I am currently living in Preston, Lancashire, where I focus on academic/creative writing and also offer private lessons in French, Italian, German and Spanish.
